On Sunday, August 6, friends and family of Ritus Corporation enjoyed a warm day at Miller Park. The annual company picnic took place on the Johnsonville Party Deck and included not only a great game but good food and lots of fun.
The Ritus group included 260 people made up of Ritus employees and their families, who got to witness the newest Brewers player make his mark. Target-trolling Mike Moustakas hit his first Brewers home run to spark a three-run, game-tying rally in the ninth inning. However, even Jonathan Shoop’s single in the 11th wasn’t enough to pull out of the 5-4 loss over the Rockies on Sunday.
The loss failed to dampen the spirits of the group. Everyone enjoyed a tremendous food menu including bratwursts, BBQ chicken, and Wisconsin mac & cheese; and the chance to win great raffle prizes that included an Amazon Echo, Xbox One gaming system, Beats wireless headphones, an Amazon Kindle Fire HD, $100 Visa gift cards, and Brewers and Packers sports packages.
Before the Fifth Inning, Tom Gebhardt, President of Ritus Corporation and Jamie Boinski, Vice President of Human Resources, presented service awards to key members of the Ritus team. Antonio Dastoli and Vanxang Yang were recognized for having been with the company for 10 years. The Company also recognized an employee at each facility who went above and beyond over the past year. Those receiving special recognition were Silvia Diaz at the Parkland facility, Eric Geib at the Bradley facility and Whitney Hughes at the Calumet facility. Tom provided a recap to the group about the growth and investment Ritus has made over the past year to keep up with changes in technology in the marketplace, and thanked everyone for their contributions and hard work.
